Real Life Choices Disability Support Services (RLCDSS) Mission is to be recommended and respected for offering the best choice, providing best value and employing the best people in support of children and adults with autism and/or learning disabilities.
Our Principles of Service have evolved from consultation with people who use our services and staff, and embody the values of the organisation.
We make the following ‘Promises’ to all people receiving support:
Eight (8) promises that we as an organisation give to each and every person using a RLCDSS services. These promises have been developed through consultation with people who uses our services.
The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic is impacting all aspects of the community, including our work at Real Life Choices. We are adapting how we connect with those who need our support, and how we provide care during this time.
Real Life Choices DSS offers a wide range of bespoke and personalised services across Victoria and Darwin for children, young people and adults. From residential schools to community based support provision, we believe that your needs and requirements are the centre of the work we do.
RLCDSS organisational structure is defined by our open culture and clearly reflects the individual and person centred nature of the services we provide. The style of management and the systems and procedures we have developed ensure our services all focus on this key element, enabling us to improve choice and continue to deliver excellent services. This is clearly expressed in ‘Our Values’, which contain a list of RLCDSS Promises and expectations made to the people we provide services for and our staff.
Roles and responsibilities within RLCDSS are clearly defined to ensure both effective decision-making and accountability, ensuring the implementation of policies and procedures is efficient, while keeping senior management close to the point of service delivery. This has resulted in a flattened hierarchy of only six levels from front line Support Worker to Managing Director.
