Responding to COVID-19

COVID-19 Update – Impact on Real Life Choices Disability Services

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic is impacting all aspects of the community, including the work Real Life Choices is performing.

We all have personal concerns about family members overseas and loved ones with existing health concerns who are vulnerable to COVID-19.

We also recognise that this situation will have serious implications, both directly and indirectly, for many of the marginalised members of the community we support through our programs.

Our participants, and staff remain our priority at Real Life Choices Disability Services. This means we have needed to impose changes to how we connect with those who need our support, and adapt how we work so we continue to live out our commitment to care for the most vulnerable.

This is not just important for today and tomorrow, but crucial to ensure that over the longer term those on the margins are not forgotten and set adrift through the severing of vital ties to community.

These changes mean that the operating hours of some of our programs may have been impacted. Please contact programs directly to obtain the latest information and hours. Contact details for all program areas can be found here: https://reallifechoices.com.au/contact/

Wherever roles can be performed remotely, we have directed staff members to work from home, in line with current recommendations from the relevant health authorities.

These staff members are accessible via e-mail and mobile phone. If you are trying to make direct contact with a particular staff member, contact us via the details above to be transferred.

We will keep you updated on our activities and evolving work as the situation unfolds.

As always, thank you for your support.
